Sarah Draper, Director of Royvon Dog Training Schools is pleased to announce the Royvon Dog Training Schools Surrey and South Wales' award accreditation with the Investors in People standard.
Investors in People (IIP) is a workforce development programme designed to improve organisation performance through the recognition of its people and investment in its people. The IIP standards are as follows:
1. A strategy for improving the performance of the organisation is clearly defined and understood.
2. Learning and development is planned to achieve the organisation's objectives.
3. Strategies for managing people are designed to promote equality of opportunity in the development of the organisation's people.
4. The capabilities managers need to lead, manage and develop people effectively are clearly defined and understood.
5. Managers are effective in leading, managing and developing people.
6. People's contribution to the organisation is recognised and valued.
7. People are encouraged to take ownership and responsibility by being involved in decision-making.
8. People learn and develop effectively.
9. Investment in people improves the performance of the organisation
10. Improvements are continually made to the way people are managed and developed.
Sarah states, "I have been committed to the Investors in People standard for a long time and words can not express the pride I feel in this accomplishment for the company as a whole and the individual team members that make it all possible. This achievement also communicates integrity to our customers, who I hope understand that such an investment in our people is directly reflected in the services we provide."
The IIP accreditation caps a great year and neatly complements Royvon having jointly won a category of the first ever Heads of the Valleys Innovation Awards for business, for its approach to customer service.
Royvon will be reviewed every three years to ensure that the IIP standard is met, during which time Sarah will be working diligently on taking the award to the next level - and become an Employer of Choice!
